This mat is a good size - comparable to the size of the ones you can borrow from a yoga studio, but the material is cheap and completely unsatisfactory. It feels sticky when it shouldn't be, yet when you start really going through poses, it lets your feet slip which is really maddening. It is not remotely comparable to the good brands they sell in the yoga studios and I guess I should have figured that out in advance

We are both over 5'8'' and love the longer mat. No need to move around and adjust yourself to keep on the mat. The extra thickness is great for knees too. Probably too long for a class unless it is held in a big room!
