 Cats love it, but maybe TOO muchAug 26, 2010
My cats LOVE this toy. One of them (the smarter one, of course) loves it so much, she has figured out how to get the string out even when 'stowed' per the directions. She also figured out how to get it moving again when the string gets stuck.
The string frays pretty easily, which seems like a design flaw- cats have claws, fraying and pulls occur easily. I have to trim off the pulls and frays almost daily, and put the toy away (in a closed room) when I'm not home. I'm fortunate that my cats aren't string eaters, or I'd have problems similar to the worse reviews.

Simply put, this toy is a safety hazard and giant vet bill waiting to happen. Our cat swallowed the pink part of the string. Luckily, it went through her digestive tract instead of becoming tangled in her intestines. I'm very shocked that it won any awards.

My cat took right to the toy. He just loves it! Sometimes I have to turn it off to give him a break. It's the best toy I've given him. I highly recommend it.

My kitten is ecstatic. She loooves this toy. She'd spend all day playing with it if she could. My older boy cat would like to play also but gets edged out by the kitten. Sometimes I lock the kitten up so he has a chance at it. I'm off to buy Ni-cads for it since it seems to use them up regularly.Moody Pet Fling-ama-string Cat Toy
